For our client, a company operating in the area of life science, with Global Headquarter in the area of Zürich, we are searching for an M&A Controller. The person will manage all M&A activities from the financial point of view.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execution and organization of financial due diligence
  • Execution of company valuations
  • Perform balance migrations from the acquired company ledger
  • Review and analysis of past and future financial data/models
  • Preparation and definition of the scope for external finance due diligence
  • Request for proposal, negotiations with advisors regarding the finance due diligence scope
  • Lead internal integration project for Finance, including IT, Tax
  • Prepare financial models and analysis, documentation and presentations
  • Development and evaluation of transaction structures
  • Liaise with acquired company personnel, global M&A team and country specific controllers
  • Review documentation supporting goodwill adjustments
  • Review and control of acquisition costs Manage the close process for post-acquisition
  • Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Cooperate and support the preparation of M&A strategy, especially from the financial point of view
  • Support on projects in the post close and integration phase

Education / Experience

  • Accounting degree
  • Bachelor degree is a plus
  • Several years of experience in financial M&A due dilligence
  • International experience is a plus Prior experience in project management.
  • M&A specific project knowledge is a plus Solid IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP R3 and Business Warehouse
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
  • High level of commitment and initiative
  • Capable of working under high pressure
